Mental health is crucial to our overall health. It’s impossible to separate the two, and yet, it happens all the time. But with the rise in diagnoses of mental health challenges—in part because of a better understanding of how these illnesses can work—comes the crucial need to talk about mental health in a bigger way.   For the writer and myself, as the book’s editor, the focus group is a prime opportunity to put our fingers on the pulse of the organization. In reality, multitasking is a myth. At best, research shows that your mind can only switch rapidly between tasks. Instead of trying to do two things at once, look for ways to maintain focus on the task at hand. Many people find it hard to focus, but it is a skill you can develop.
